PEST (Parameter ESTimation)
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Center for Exposure Assessment Modeling (CEAM). PEST is a model-independent parameter estimation package which can communicate with any model through the model's own input and output files. PEST can be used for nonlinear parameter estimation and predictive analysis in many different fields of study including ground and surface water hydrology, geophysics, engineering and others. DOS-based.

PHRQPITZ (for Data General AViiON)
By US Geological Survey (USGS). A modification of the geochemical modeling code, PHREEQE, to permit calculations of geochemical reactions in brines and other highly concentrated electrolyte solutions using the Pitzer virial-coefficient approach for activity-coefficient corrections. UNIX source code is available.

Soil and Geologic Site Evaluation
By US Environmental Protection Agency and Purdue University. Provides information about the roles that soils, geology and depth to groundwater play in the protection of groundwater (focusing on farms). A risk assessment portion helps determine the potential for contamination at a site based on information supplied by the user
